CARLIN KARR

WINE & BEVERAGE DIRECTOR, FRASCA FOOD AND WINE

Carlin Karr has been an integral member of the Frasca wine team since 2012 and currently serves as the Director of Beverage for Frasca Hospitality Group. In her role, she oversees the acclaimed wine programs at Frasca Food and Wine, Pizzeria Locale, Tavernetta, and Sunday Vinyl, located in Boulder and Denver.

Carlin's journey in the world of wine began after graduating from the University of Colorado in 2008, when she moved to San Francisco and took on the dual roles of General Manager and Wine Director at Sons & Daughters. Her expertise and dedication to her craft have earned her the Advanced Sommelier designation from the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Recognized for her contributions to the wine industry, Carlin has been named one of Food & Wine’s Sommeliers of the Year in 2018, featured in Wine Enthusiast’s "40 Under 40" list in 2019, included in Forbes’ "30 Under 30" in 2011, and honored as one of Wine & Spirits Magazine’s “Best New Sommeliers.” Additionally, she was celebrated as an Eater “Young Gun.”

Beyond her professional achievements, Carlin is committed to mentoring the next generation of women in wine through her involvement with Batonnage Forum and as a member of Les Dames d'Escoffier, an organization dedicated to supporting women leaders in food, beverage, and hospitality.
