Founded by Jeremy Alben and Anthony Montagnaro in 2020, Pinyon is a woodfire pizzeria, sourdough bakery, and natural wine shoppe focused on local sourcing and worker empowerment. Following stints at Michelin starred establishments including Pujol in Mexico City, The Four Horsemen in NYC, and the now shuttered Faviken in Jarpen, Sweden, Alben teamed up with Montagnaro to build a restaurant centered on environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Featured in the LA and NY times, Pinyon works in close collaboration with local farmers, shepherds, anglers, and vintners to provide an exceptional dining experience at an affordable price point to Ojai locals and visitors alike. Alben and Montagnaro are looking forward to opening their next project, Pinyon Ventura, this coming spring.
