SARAH CLARKE

Sarah Clarke grew up in Bethesda, Maryland in a family that valued food and wine. Taking trips to France with her father helped point her in the direction of the culinary industry. Following this love, after college she attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. After graduating, she knew wine was her passion, especially as it related to cuisine. She started working for Joachim Splichal at the Patina Group. Sarah then went on to work with Jose Andres, Michael Voltaggio, and Nancy Silverton where she was Beverage Director for Mozza Restaurant Group. Sarah’s wine philosophy is to find wines that are both balanced and a good representation of where they are from. She is currently the Wine Director for République in Los Angeles.
