PRINCIPAL & FOUNDER, PROVIGNAGE

S A S H I M O O R M A N has earned a reputation as one of the New World’s brightest and  most compelling winemakers. As is the case for many, Sashi was struck with a deep passion for  food that led him to the world of wine. After college, he cooked professionally in Washington  

D.C. and New York, though a newfound interest in wine pushed him to Ojai, California, where  he worked for five years under the tutelage of celebrated winemaker Adam Tolmach at The Ojai  Vineyard. 

Eventually Sashi left Ojai to take on the role of inaugural winemaker at Stolpman Vineyards,  whose acclaimed wines during his tenure are credited with putting that Santa Barbara County  winery on the map. In 2009, he set out on his own and founded Provignage, a small, full-service  wine company that assists with all aspects of ecological and natural approaches to viticulture and  winemaking. Provignage is based in Lompoc, CA. 

United in their dedication to holistic vineyard practices and traditional winemaking, Sashi and  longtime friend Raj Parr founded Sandhi in 2009, followed by Domaine de la Côte in 2011.  Today, the duo also owns vineyards and produces wine at Evening Land Vineyards in Oregon's  Willamette Valley.
